Growth Groups begin the week of January 29, 2017.
Growth Groups are intentional gatherings throughout the community. They exist to provide an environment where people will take next steps to grow in their faith, and foster Christian relationships with others who desire to grow with God. In a Growth Group you will study, serve, play, share & support. The goal of Growth Groups is to help you learn to CENTER your life on Jesus because we believe that spiritual growth flows out of two basic commitments:
How Do I Join a Group?
The quickest way to join a group is by checking out our events page, pick a date and time that works for you, and contact the group leader to express your interest. You may also contact Brian Bolton and express what type of group you are looking for and he will connect you with the appropriate group. Or don't see a day and time that works for you? We'll be sure to help you get one started.
Why Growth Groups?
If you want to grow in your relationship with Jesus, keeping Christ at the CENTER, you need to have intentional relationships with people who have the same goal. A GROWTH GROUP is the ideal place for this. Whether in a church of 200 or 2000, it's easy to get lost in the crowd, fall through the cracks, and slide out the back door. Growth Groups are one of the biblical ways to combat this challenge. They provide an environment of love, care, and accountability, as well as an effective way to help people not "fall through the cracks". Growth Groups are also one of the best ways in which the church lives out its mission to Connect, Center, and Change. You'll be encouraged to live out the truths you discover in the Bible, as you encourage others to do the same.
What Does a Growth Group Look Like?
Growth Groups operate on a Biblical model outlined in Acts 2:42-47 where they meet together in a small group setting. It is our goal to have every member of our church involved in a Growth Group.
These home Bible study groups require an 8-9 week commitment, and are comprised of 8-12 people. They meet weekly to share, to study God's Word, serve together, and to support one another spiritually. It is our hope, that after your first 8-9 week session you will desire to stay together as a group. Groups are encouraged to stay together if they establish a strong connection.
What Will My Group Study?
Growth Groups study sermon-based curriculum. Sermon-based curriculum is provided for each group. We believe your spiritual growth will gain momentum when you participate in the weekly sermon and then have an opportunity to dive deeper and apply the sermon to life through a Growth Group.
Where & When Do Groups Meet?
Most locations are off campus at somebody's home. Some will meet on-campus in a room at the church building. Groups meet weekly for about 1.5-2 hours. Times vary so please be sure to check out the schedule on our events page for further details.
Is Childcare Provided?
Every group is different. We want to help you get connected to the right group, so make sure to let us know if you would like to join a group with childcare. Some of our groups split the costs for a baby sitter, some of our groups don't offer any type of childcare, and some make other arrangements.
